April Newsletter - We are open for the season!

Hey everybody… guess what… we’re open for the season. According to everyone who has come in since Friday, it is not spring until Oceanview opens its doors… so hip-hip hooray, spring has arrived.
There are so many new exciting things at the garden centre this year , we could hardly wait to tell you about them. We have a line of Brazilian hammocks that are not only beautiful but very durable. We even have swinging chairs that are sooo comfortable.
We have many new planters this year including some made of light weight fiberglass coated to look like real granite. Others are made to look like a wood grain and Susan’s favorites are the ones that look like real tree stumps.
We have a loveseat and chair set made of fiberglass but coated to look like granite, a bit pricey but a real conversation piece.
We have a line of garden ornaments called Geeky Beaks that we can’t even begin to describe; you’ll just have to come see for yourselves.
As you stroll around you won’t be able to miss the gorgeous bronze statuary: mermaids, frogs and a large piece of a boy relaxing on a tree branch enjoying a day of fishing, several cranes, and a few more specially chosen pieces.
We are carrying lots of new garden products: organic fertilizers, environmentally friendly pesticides, slow release fertilizers, hose-end cinch bug killer, and super size Rhododendron food, just to name a few.
We were so pleased with the Fafard line of soils last year, that we have expanded the line to include a low ph soil for Rhododendrons, a soil perfectly formulated for roses and one for perennials. The extensive line will be listed and described on our new website which should be up and running in a couple of weeks.
Speaking of the website, our entire inventory will be listed on it so you will be able to browse through to see all of the plants that we have brought in for the season. (You will have to call for availability if there is something specific that you want). Don’t forget if there is something we don’t have we can probably bring it in for you.
Last but not least, we have added Burpee seeds to our usual brands. It is the first time Burpee seeds have been offered in Canada. They have been #1 in the States for 125 years.
